Photography provides an insight into the immeadiate aftermath of a conflict that cannot be be seen in any other media outside of film. Even the film industry often srtuggles to captivate the essence of an instance to same calibre as photography. The power of reportage photography was communicated across the globe during the Vietnam war where American photographers were able to catalogue the monsterous acts that the US Army were committing in real time, swaying public opinion against the war and help bring about its end. In conflict photographs are more powerful than any other medium.
