This image contains certain elements of the golden spiral; the framing of the light creates a curve that forces the eye's attention to the abandoned trolley. The picture depicts a journey through life; the light represents a positive energy, leading you forward but it is juxtaposed by the darkness surrounding it. The bars act as a barrier prohibiting you from continuing your journey into the light and the cars are parked in the shadows and are distorted showing them to be tainted and unreachable. To the lower right the bars fade out into the murky night and this could represent the difficulties of having overcome adversities in order to continue into the light. The sketchy, jagged bars represent the rusty rods being hurdles for a lengthily amount of time but still managing to do their job as the picture captures a strong sense of isolation. The white lines act as leading lines further conveying the message of being lead into the light. This image looks unrealistic but this creates an eerie atmosphere as one is able to relate to something imaginatively created making the viewer uncomfortable.
The intricate shapes of the buildings are reflected in the curve of the cars roof. This reflection in the car leads the viewer to believe that the picture was taken in the day however the background suggests otherwise. There is a curve in the road that leads the eye into the picture to focus on the trees. The curve draws the eye into the image but seems to suddenly stop and merge into the car in the front of the picture; this confuses the viewer as they are being led into the unknown. The top half of this image is out of focus but the lower section isn't; this further illustrates the strong contrast within the picture as the deep orange is in conflict with the dull cars. However, a triangle is created between the two cars and the dark figure on the right that adds balance to this image.
